gracefully NOTED

Philadelphia, PA

Hi! I'm Meghan. Welcome to gracefullyNOTED!

Style & Design

Founded in 2013, gracefullyNOTED is a design company committed to creating and producing original stationery, prints and other paper products.  We aim to provide quirky, creative and meaningful designs that spread fun and joy!  Whether it's a birthday card, a thank you note, or a card sent to let someone know you care, we stand by the idea that there is nothing better or sweeter than receiving a hand written note or greeting.

How it's Made

Our specialty at gracefullyNOTED is die-cut paper products. All gracefullyNOTED designs are hand drawn on the computer. Each design is then die-cut using a combination of machine and hand cutting. The die-cut machine allows me to create elaborate designs with a fine degree of accuracy.

Each piece is designed, cut, and assembled by me in my studio in Philadelphia, PA.

While we  specialize in die-cut designs, we also provide flat printing.  In addition to that, we are also constantly exploring new mediums and finding new ways to produce beautiful and innovative products.

Our Story

I founded gracefullyNOTED because I have a passion for art, good design and well made stationery.  When I was younger,  I was constantly collecting folded cards, notebooks, prints and postcards, and sticking them all over my wall (much to my parents dismay - paint never lasted long in my room!). It is something that I still do, though now I have transitioned to magnetic and cork boards. I graduated from college with a degree in art history and biology, after which I kept going down the art history route and obtained an MA in Art History, from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London (an amazing experience and I am still obsessed with London!). I love art, and am a total pain to go to a museum with :)

My mom was an artist and a calligrapher and I think a lot of my appreciation of design and composition comes from her influence and watching her create. She also designed, drew and printed her own holiday cards. I remember being so impressed by the time and dedication it took to create them and loving how personal it was.

Two years ago, I married the love of my life, and the only thing I knew when we started the wedding planning process was that I wanted to make the paper products (e.g. the invitations with enclosures, programs, menus, etc.) myself. Unfortunately, my mom had passed away before my husband and I got engaged, but I had remembered talking to her about how we were going to create and design the paper products together, and I was committed to following through with it. Long story short, I did it, and loved it! I loved designing, producing, problem solving, all of it. There were some frustrating moments and set backs to be sure (and there still are), but I knew I had found my passion.

So fast forward a couple of years, and gracefullyNOTED was born!

Thank you for visiting gracefullyNOTED!
