Maybe it's because almost half of the light bulbs in our apartment are out or perhaps it's a result of the fact that John and I are pretty bored with the lamps we currently have, but I have been somewhat fixated with light fixtures and finding creative ways to light a space. Some of the most beautiful lamps that I have seen are the Fish Lamps by Frank Gehry, made of jagged pieces of plastic with a light source within. I love how they look like they are on fire. It makes them look almost dragon-esque, don't you think? The way Gehry positions them makes it seem as though they are mid-movement - turning, diving or even flying through space. In love.
What do you think? Could you ever see a lamp like this in your home?
